Imagine a scenario where you can only watch one team from each of the 4 major sports, selceted with no regard to geographic bias, for the rest of your life.  Unlimited access to each of these teams but you can never watch another game that does not include these teams-  which Pod are you picking?

Considerations:

Favorite team/Sport – do you have one team or sport that outweighs all others and choose based solely on that team?

Current Success – Teams that are fun to watch now with open title windows

Future Success – Teams that have young talent or compotent ownership that will keep the team relevant over the years

Prime time-  Timing of when games will occur, national broadcast, etc

Colors!-  Are these fun to even look at

Wives or husbands of players –  Are they hot?  Are their kids annoying to look at?

Opponents-  Do you REALLY want to watch the Pistons or Panthers multiple times a year?

Geographic proximity to you–  Pods are (mostly) grouped to have no geographical bias but some are more appealing than others

Too Many options to go through all but removing bias here’s the Top Five-  who are you choosing?

Top 5:

5 – Cowboys/Lakers/Canadiens/Red Sox:  This undoubtedly makes you a massive douchbag, but you get a lot of primetime games, Lebron for now, and despite many questionable decisions/owners these teams will always be relevant

4- Steelers/Bulls/Oilers/Cardinals – Steelers and Cardinals are the picture of stability for franchises-   Bulls are not but you can buy throwback Jordan’s and watch Connor McDavid

3-Giants/Celtics/Bruins/Mets – NY/Boston Bias-  the only group based on geography bias but if you are fans of two of these teams you likely despise the other two so it’s sophie’s choice.  Giants are terrible but stable, Celtics are currently a great team with history, Bruins are always in the mix and the Mets exist despite their best efforts

2- Chiefs/Warriors/Avalanche/Astros-  You get four teams that have won titles in the last 3 years and starpower with Mahomes and Steph but you have to root for cheaters.  Good pick also for middle of the country people

1-Raven/Rockets/Maple Leafs/Padres – NFL MVP on a consistent team/ownership, The rockets, an original six team with Austin Matthews and an exciting young team in the best city to visit in North America
